A philological study on poisoning of Aconiti Radix(ô¹è¡Ôé)

Abstract

|
Oriental medical doctors use Aconiti Radix for warming the middle-jiao to dispel cold(è®ñéËäùÎ). We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Aconiti Radix. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The main ingredients of poisoning are aconitine, hypaconitine, mesaconitine, jesaconitine, aconine, etc. The ingredients of poisoning from Aconiti Radix mainly cause blood vessel system, nervous system, digestive system and respiratory system, etc. 2. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in oriental medicine take advantage of herbs, such as Glycyrrhizae Radix(Êöõ®), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens(ßæ˹), Mel(ÜðÚÌ), Phaseoli Radiati Semen(ÖàÔç), Rhinoceri Cornu(ßùÊÇ), Zingiberis Siccatum Rhizoma(Ëë˹), Lonicerae Flos(ÑÑëÞü£), etc. And Oriental medical doctor should meet symptoms as patients call for attention. 3. The representative methods in poisoning treatments in western medicine are washing out the stomach, promotion of vomiting, causing diarrhea, enema, fluid infusion and symptomatic treatment, etc. 4. In order to prevent against poisoning of Aconiti Radix, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.
